The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) has confirmed that the focus of the 2021 World Intellectual Property Day (26 April) will be on SMEs and taking ideas to market.
With this theme WIPO is hoping to shine a light on the economic importance of SMEs and their critical role in driving economic recovery and job creation. This is especially important as economies across the globe grapple with the economic fall-out of the COVID-19 health crisis.
More details of the campaign are available on the IP Day website, which will be updated regularly with new resources to support World IP Day activities and updates on opportunities for engagement.
Follow WIPO on social media @wipo for updates as the campaign rolls out and use the hashtag #worldipday on all social media platforms and consider tagging WIPO when posting World IP Day-related content.
