IPA featured in two sessions during the Guadalajara Industry Dialogue sessions looking at the Mexican and international publishing markets as well as the influence of Latin America within the IPA.
The first session featured IPA President, Hugo Setzer joining Juan Arzoz, President of CANIEM in a conversation led by Marisol Schulz Manaut, who leads the Guadalajara Book Fair.
The second session was a fascinating conversation involving a number of voices closely connected to IPA from Latin America with Hugo leading a conversation with IPA Past President Ana Maria Cabanellas, Vice President-elect, Karine Pansa, as well as IPA Executive Committee member Roberto Banchik and José Ignacio Echeverria, President of the Grupo Iberoamericano de Editores. They discussed everything from copyright to freedom to publish, via VAT and the Sustainable Development Goals.
