IPA organised its first ever international education conference in conjunction with the London Book Fair, on 17 April 2013.
Entitled 'What Works? Policies, Resources & Technologies for International Educational Success' the conference was universally praised.
The International Publishers Association, in association with the Publishers Association UK and the London Book Fair, presented the third annual IPA Education Conference on 16 April, at Olympia Conference Centre, West London.
Attendance at the fourth one-day What Works? event was the highest yet, attesting to its value to the educational publishing sector as a networking and learning experience.
The London Book Fair, which co-hosts the IPA’s annual What Works? educational publishing conference in association with the UK Publishers Association (PA), has revealed that the attendance at the 2017 edition was higher than ever before.
On 7 January 2020, the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) confirmed that it had received ten candidatures for the position of Director General ahead of the 30 December 2019 deadline.

On March 4, 2020, WIPO’s Coordination Committee (CoCo) nominated Daren Tang of Singapore for the post of WIPO Director General. Mr. Tang has been the CEO of Singapore’s IP Office (IPOS) since 2015 and the Chair of WIPO’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) since May 2017.
